Job Description
We’re hiring a Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician for our Baton Rouge, LA site who will report to the QC Supervisor.   You will be responsible for performing laboratory work in testing a variety of products and recording/reporting results.  This position requires the ability to work rotating shifts to include day and night shift, as well as weekends and holidays. 
Responsibilities
Performs chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific tests using both routine and special techniques in compliance with all safety standards
Analyzes and processes laboratory samples
Records results of tests, organizes data, performs basic computations, and prepares reports and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines
Provide technical support to Manufacturing and R&D organizations as needed
Active participation in required local safety program, along with the ability to work safely and maintain a clean and orderly lab environment. 
Operates, maintains and repairs laboratory test equipment, apparatus, systems and supplies
Required Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Chemistry or other science related field
Proficient with operation of typical computer controlled laboratory instrumentation
Diligent at keeping written and/or electronic records
Some prior knowledge of chemistry
Good work ethic and high professional standard is shown to perform the job properly
Familiarity with computer programs such as MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Good interpersonal skills and exceptional oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills 
Ability to comply with all applicable regulatory requirements
Ability to work with minimum supervision along with working as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing lab environment
Experience with NMR and ICP
