The Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting with organizing, planning, leading, and directing clinical and management activities for the designated nursing unit.  The Nurse Manager contributes to organizational operations.  The Nurse Manager is accountable for daily supervision of patient/nursing care delivery.  The Nurse Manager participates as a member of the health care team in maintaining continuity and quality of patient care.  ','!*!MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education:


Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN required
 
Experience:

Two years in charge or leadership position within last five years in a hospital setting
Five years recent nursing experience
Clinical knowledge as a Registered Nurse in the same or similar clinical specialty preferred
 
Licensure or Certification:

Active RN license in Tennessee
BCLS required at time of hire
ACLS or CART required on telemetry units within six months
PALS – ER, required within six months
Certification in specialty area within 1 year of BSN or within 1 year of hire with BSN
