Job Description SummaryAs an Accounting Coordinator working for Taylor Morrison, you will be responsible for generating purchase orders, job starts, administration of variance purchase orders, and various other administrative duties.Job DetailsWe trust that as an Accounting Coordinator you will: (responsibilities) Build purchasing data in Newstar Enterprise for all home building plansMaintain takeoffs, costs, and budgets as needed for the Sales, Construction, and Finance DepartmentsReview takeoffs, costs, and budgets on every house prior to construction start to ensure accuracy and generate purchase orders for start packageReview, process, and analyze variance purchase orders from Construction Managers and Purchasing AgentsAnalyze and reduce budget to actual costs on every house at closingAssist agents with bidding and takeoffs when needed for special projectsYou are willing to perform other duties as assignedWhat you will need: (competencies, behaviors & attributes)AccountableDependable/ConsistentIntegrity/TrustJob FocusedResponsivenessSelf-StarterAbout you: 1 years experience in a similar position within a fast-paced office environment requiredUnderstanding of the Homebuilding process (parts, model subcontracts, etc.) requiredHigh School Diploma requiredProficient in Excel requiredMust be highly organized and detail orientedMust be a team player with a strong sense of urgency and strong communication skillsMust have the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesNewstar experience is a plus#CollegeDiversity #EarlyCareerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptWill have responsibilities such as:This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.Essential Functions:Successful job applicants will be able to perform these functions.
