Intern Job Description
Are you interesting in learning how an idea for a product goes from an idea to a new product function? As a product intern with the IOP team you will have the opportunity to follow the idea through the entire lifecycle starting with the initial conversations with stakeholders through to the software development lifecycle with the engineers
IOP Product Managers work across many teams and domains. IOP is a primary tool for many **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. employees from requesting support from **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. IT through to resolving a customer affecting incident. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders across all the domains of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. Moving into the implementation phase, product managers get to work with implementation teams such as the UX, architecture and engineering teams
In your role, you will work with product managers from the initial intake of product ideas. Assisting the product manager to work with stakeholders to ensure that team has the critical information that they need to evaluate the idea: such as the teams affected and the value of the work.
You will also have the opportunity to work through the entire software lifecycle. IOP product managers also function as the product owner for our scrum teams. The product intern will assist the product manager in writing user stories, presenting the story to the team in refinement and planning sessions, through to answering questions for the development team. After the feature has been developed the product intern will also assist in ensuring that the new feature is production ready and users are informed through hosting UAT sessions with stakeholders or writing knowledge articles on the enhancement.

Job Responsibilities
Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reviewing the initial intake of new features and identifying gaps in information needed
Scheduling and assisting in stakeholder meetings to gather all required information
Assisting product managers and business analysts in writing user stories
Assisting with user adoption through hosting UAT sessions, creating new knowledge articles and videos.
Preferred Skills
Familiar with the agile development process and working on a scrum team
Knowledge of the SDLC process
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2023, Spring 2024, December 2024 or Spring 2025.
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program
Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)
