Microsoft Advertising is a multi-billion dollar worldwide Sales, Marketing and Services organization on the cutting edge of the digital advertising industry. We are the engine that powers the buying and selling of digital advertising across all aspects of our digital portfolio including our high-growth, global search engine, Microsoft Bing.
This newly created role is part of the Small, Medium, Channel Partner (SMC) Field Sales Operations team.
The Microsoft Advertising Field Sales team empowers advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through paid search engine marketing (SEM) on the Microsoft Bing platform as well as other native units across Microsoft Advertising. We are seeking a top performing Manager on SMC Operations team to lead a team of analysts and power the evolution of Microsoft Advertising, our clients, partners and ourselves by driving operational, analytical and individual excellence.
This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of Business Analysts within the Small, Medium, Channel Partner (SMC ) tea m. This leader is responsible for creating clarity, generating energy , and delivering success for the global team they lead.
Reporting to the Small, Medium, Channel Partner Sales Operations Leader and a contributor to the SMC Leadership team , the individual in this role must be an inspirational people leader who can create a culture where the team can deliver their best work. The leader in this role will be able to advocate for the team’s needs and create strong partnerships with key stakeholders such as WW Operations , Data Science, Marketing, sales leaders , and the SMC Operations Field Sales Excellence team . While they do not need to have direct Business Analytics experience , they need to have operational capability and a desire to deeply understand the Business Analytics role in order to best enable the team.
Coach, care, and model as a manager of the global Business Analyticsteam
Develop global diversity & inclusion across the team and with the individuals
Enable Business Analytics team career planning and development
Drive valuable perspectives, alignment and enablement with SMC Sales Leaders
Partner closely with a variety of stakeholders across WW Ops team to transform the MSA business
Lead SMCforecasting and target-setting in collaboration with Finance, Data Science, local Sales LT, WW Ops, and Field Sales Excellence
Leadership of Global and Regional ROB and Sales story through creation and interpretation of multiple reporting tools
Leadership of Global Sales planning and regional deployment, reporting and tracking in collaboration with local sales leads and Field Sales excellence function
Global process and program design tailored for cross-market and cross-regional implementation of operational efficiency and revenue driving opportunities
Facilitate the use of analytics in the development of new, scalable sales programs that drive growth and focus on the needs of all SMC Segments – Channel Partner and SMB
Partner with SMC Global Ops Leader and other key stakeholders to land defined Global sales model, blueprint, and role deployment
Ensure accurate resource allocation at the strategic and tactical level, ensure team awareness and compliance to all corporate and organizational policies, and drive simplification wherever possible.
Accountable for an effective and accurate sales planning and quota forecasting process with each of the regional sales leaders. Engage deeply with key stakeholders in Sales Ex, Global Operations, Marketing and Finance throughout the process.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an analytics or operations role.
BA/BS from an accredited college/university or at least 11 years equivalent relevant professional experience.
Passion for driving revenue, client interaction, actively supporting an existing business while assisting in the success of expanding into new business
Experience in sales and/or partnering with sales and strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, ideally with experience in Search advertising sales
Strong self-discipline and time management abilities; multi-tasker capable of switching easily and constantly between strategic and tactical work
Flexibility to maintain focus through change and ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity
Outstanding interpersonal skills, innovation, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead cross group/functional teams with a high degree of independence and success; ability to impact and influence at all levels of the org
Organizational agility and ability to work successfully across a complex, highly-matrixed environment
