A respected law firm located in Charlotte, NC is actively seeking a seasoned transactional attorney to join its specialized Equipment Finance practice group. The role involves sophisticated legal work representing a range of financial entities and private investment clients in complex commercial transactions with a particular focus on high-value movable assets such as transportation equipment. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a solid foundation in commercial finance who is looking to deepen their expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
Handle all aspects of equipment finance transactions, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements.
Represent lenders, borrowers, lessors, lessees, and investment entities in a wide array of secured lending arrangements.
Advise clients on transactions involving asset-backed loans, leases, credit facilities, and asset purchases or sales.
Provide counsel on deals centered around transportation-related assets, including aircraft and rail equipment.
Collaborate with colleagues across various practice groups to deliver comprehensive client service on multi-disciplinary matters.
Monitor market developments in finance and transportation sectors relevant to client needs.
Significant experience with transactional matters, particularly in finance, leasing, or corporate law.
Familiarity with equipment finance transactions is preferred, but not mandatory.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex deals independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-first mindset.
Proven track record of academic excellence and legal acumen.
Juris Doctor (JD) or international equivalent from an accredited institution.
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred or eligibility to waived.
Proficiency in contract drafting and negotiation.
Deep understanding of Article 9 of the UCC and other secured transaction principles.
Ability to balance multiple deals and deadlines with keen attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal abilities and capacity for strategic thinking.
Adaptability in responding to client needs and legal developments.
