Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Creditor's Rights Attorney to join their team in Independence, OH. The ideal candidate will have a robust knowledge of consumer credit collections, including state laws and the FDCPA. This role requires active use of the Firm’s case management and reporting software, occasional court appearances, and a commitment to providing superior client care. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively utilize the Firm’s case management and reporting software to manage assigned matters.
• Represent clients in court, including making appearances and handling associated travel as needed.
• Apply knowledge of consumer credit collections, relevant state laws, and FDCPA regulations to client cases.
• Communicate proactively with clients to provide updates and address their concerns.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to develop and implement case strategies.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation related to each case.
• Stay current on changes in consumer credit collection laws and practices.

Requirements:

• Must be a member in good standing of the Ohio State Bar.
• Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in creditor's rights and consumer credit collections.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Ohio State Bar is required.
• Additional certifications related to creditor's rights or consumer protection are a plus.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of consumer credit collections, state laws, and FDCPA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with case management and reporting software.
