ERISA Collection Associate Attorney

A law firm in Encino, CA, specializing in employee benefits law, is seeking an ERISA Collection Associate Attorney to primarily handle collection cases for Taft-Hartley Multiemployer Trusts. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in collections and/or general litigation. Courses in labor law and employee benefits are beneficial.

Duties:

• Represent Taft-Hartley Multiemployer Trusts in collection cases.
• Manage and litigate collection cases from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Appear in court for hearings and trials.
• Advise clients on collection strategies and legal issues.
• Negotiate settlements and work with opposing counsel.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA regulations in all collection activities.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California Bar in good standing.
• 1-5 years of experience in collection and/or general litigation.
• Strong litigation skills, including experience with case management and court appearances.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Taft-Hartley Multiemployer Trusts.
• Coursework in labor law and employee benefits.
• Familiarity with ERISA regulations and compliance issues.
